Rugby Arizona

Rugby Arizona’s mission is to develop and grow the sport of rugby for all youth within the State of Arizona.  Our goals are to provide a safe and fair sporting environment, and to develop youth character by introducing the values of rugby in a team sport experience that will endure for a lifetime.

Rugby Arizona is the sanctioned governing body for all age-grade rugby union activities in the state of Arizona under the national jurisdiction of USA Rugby and the global jurisdiction of World Rugby.  Founded in 2003, Rugby Arizona initially provided a program for high school boys rugby.  In 2011, grade school youth divisions were added and in 2016, focus was expanded for high school and grade school girls.

Rugby Arizona is organized as a club sport in our local communities to promote participation in rugby as a way for our youth to stay active and healthy, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, and combat community deterioration by following the World Rugby Playing Charter Core Values of Integrity, Passion, Solidarity, Discipline and Respect.  We facilitate our youth achieving physical activity and fitness through organizing and participating in regional, national and international amateur rugby competition.

We currently have clubs operating all across metro Phoenix as well as Tucson and Flagstaff.  Find a club near you and give rugby a try!

Mandatory Safe Sport Education every 2 years

The United States government has established the Safe Sport Act of 2017 that mandates new safety requirements that aim to protect youth athletes through abuse prevention training and mandated reporting.
