Coaches & Referees of Youth Touch
A quick reminder as we roll into a new season that that RAZ is adopting the FIT version of Touch this year to align with the partnership between USA Rugby and USA Touch and the opportunities that may come from it in the future.
Also, as we use Touch as a vehicle for expanding the player base with the non-contact version of the game, we want all Youth Clubs to be fielding teams in touch as well as tackle this season, and if we can get the numbers, we can break down the 8/10 and 12/14 into U8, U10, U12, U14 so the kids can compete in touch against players their own size and ability. It would be really cool if we can get a U8 division going, even if it requires clubs to join forces at the field, but I think the little 6 & 7 yr olds need a chance to enjoy the game without 8 & 9 yr olds on the field. Jeremy will be scheduling slots for these games in the Fall & Spring schedules.
