Rugby Arizona is partnering with the Phoenix Mercury for a Rugby Night fundraiser on Friday Sept 6 at Talking Stick Resort Arena, 7pm tip-off against the Minnesota Lynx.
This is an opportunity for all Clubs to get involved and join forces to promote youth and high school rugby for all of Arizona.
We have group discount pricing on lower level seats; we'll be running the 50/50 raffle; and we'll have a table on the concourse to hand out RAZ information flyers and mini rugby balls.
There are 2 ways to get involved.
First: Help run the 50/50 and promotions table.
Second: Turn up and watch the game and use all your social media connections to get your friends and family out to watch the game with you. Share the flyer below and share the direct link to the group ticket sales. Wear your favorite rugby jersey to the game!
We need help to run the 50/50!! We need 20 adults and lots of kids to volunteer to run the 50/50 raffle stations and the main table. Those that help will share in the proceeds going back to their Club. We'll have t-shirts to wear on the night. You still need to buy your match ticket for entry, but we're finished by half time so you'll be able to watch the second half.
As part of this promotion we need to sell a minimum of 150 tickets. And they need to be purchased through our group sales link so that we get the credit!
That means we need everyone to share this link and bring out the rugby crowd to the basketball!

Rugby Arizona’s mission is to develop and grow the sport of rugby for all youth within the State of Arizona. Our goals are to provide a safe and fair sporting environment, and to develop youth character by introducing the values of rugby into a team sport experience that will endure for a lifetime.
Rugby Arizona is the sanctioned governing body for all age-grade rugby union activities in the state of Arizona under the national jurisdiction of USA Rugby and the global jurisdiction of World Rugby. Founded in 2003, Rugby Arizona initially provided a program for high school boys rugby. In 2011, grade school youth divisions were added and in 2016 a focus was added for high school and grade school girls.
Rugby Arizona is organized as a club sport in our local communities to promote participation in rugby as a way for our youth to stay active and healthy, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, and combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency by following the World Rugby Playing Charter Core Values of Integrity, Passion, Solidarity, Discipline and Respect. We facilitate our youth achieving physical activity and fitness through organizing and participating in regional, national and international amateur rugby competition.
We currently have clubs running in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Show Low. Find a club near you and give rugby a try!
